The discovery of Jesuit's Bark along the Mist Forests of Peru was one of the greatest medical discoveries of all time. Though by todays standard it was equivalent to finding the cure for cancer, few students now are even aware of its existence. Overlaid over this wonderful discovery is the love story of an Inca child learning to love and understand his diversity. In the end, his discovery leads him to a profound understanding of why diversity is so crucial in the evolution of present day Peruvian culture. The significance of the stars of the savanna becomes apparent. Sadly, like the discovery of Jesuit's Bark, the role of diversity in the formation of a culture is not appreciated today by most students.
